With the awards evening fresh in our brand ambassador’s memories, we have managed to catch up with Mike Newland and Mark Young from Team JAPSMotorsport and Adam Elder from Zestino UK to see how they got on.
Firstly, we must congratulate Adam Elder on a fantastic championship win in The Fueltopia Barrel Sprint Championship. This is such an achievement going up against the best drivers in the country. What makes this victory a little bit sweeter for Adam is that he has now won the crown 3 years back to back. Which must put him in great shape for the Gymkhana Grid Finals in South Africa in November.
Adam also finished 2nd Overall in the RWD Class of Formula G. Once again he is hoping that this will lead to him climbing the final step next year to bring home the double. Adam was also nominated for Sportsman of the Year and Best Looking Car but closely missed out to one of our other sponsor drivers Mike Newland.
Mike had a very impressive year in his new liveried car! Finishing 2nd Overall in The Fueltopia Barrel Sprint Championship. Which it was great to see 2 of Racinglines Brand Ambassadors locking out the top 2 positions of a championship. Mike also wrapped up both Sportsman of The Year, which is a thoroughly deserved award to one of the most friendly drivers in the paddock. Also his car was awarded the Best Looking Car Award, which for everyone that has seen that car can understand why, the Gulf Racing inspired colour scheme has been a hit with fans of the sport along with everyone in the paddock.
